Mt. Clay was looking particularly snappy today, sparkling under dappled skies. I should mention that I was really having fun with this camera, even sans GorillaPod. The tile-like quality of this part of the Gulfside made for pleasant cruising down to Sphinx Col, where the nature of the trail abruptly reverted to awkward rock steps for the ascent of Jefferson - not one of my favorite sections. 1:03 pm on top of Jefferson left me with 3 hours to finish Adams and Madison and get down to Appalachia. It was nail-biting time!
